For those of us who have a genetic predisposition towards Parkinson’s, life can feel like a terrifying waiting game. There are some who claim that this condition can be treated naturally, but doctors advise against this. Instead, they say that prevention is the best defense, and there are ways that that can be done without drugs.
Supplements, however, are what are needed to aid in prevention. Regular vitamins have been speculated to help to cleanse the body of ‘free radicals’, which cause the Parkinson’s.
Vitamins E and C are especially beneficial. as are Omega-3 fatty acids, CoQ10, and Ginkgo biloba. Each can be found in any health food store or pharmacy.
Drinking red wine can also be beneficial, or so recent studies have suggested. For men, drinking two glasses a day, and for women drinking one glass a day, can help prevent the disease, as well as several others. This includes Alzheimer’s, as well.
In the end, there is no sure way of preventing Parkinson’s. But you can keep your body and mind healthy, in order to reduce your risks of developing it. That may not be perfect, but does give some peace of mind. Not to mention a possible chance at avoiding a life-long condition.
